Oyster Dressing
Great Thanksgiving dressing. So much better than Stove Top!!!
Ingredients
1/2 c. chopped sweet onion
1/2 c. celery, chopped
butter
1 loaf white bread, broken up. I leave it sitting out overnight so it’s slightly dried out.
½ pint oysters put through blender (I have used Campbell’s Oyster Stew)
½ t. pepper
1 t. salt
½ t. sage
3 eggs, beaten
Chicken or turkey broth to make slightly soupy
Directions
Sauté onion and celery in butter till clear.
In big bowl, mix all ingredients together.
Pour into greased casserole dish.
Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees. It’s done when all liquid has been absorbed.
