Oatmeal Cookies (aka chocolate chip cookies)

Ingredients

Cream together.

• 2 cups brown sugar
• 1 c. shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 t. vanilla

Sift together in another bowl:

• 1/4 t. salt
• 1 t. baking soda
• 1 t. baking powder
• 2 cups flour

Add flour mixture egg mixture and mix well.

Add:

• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1 cup quick oats

Directions

Mix well, drop by spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees.
