Fresh Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce
A very yummy dessert!
Ingredients
Cake:
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
½ c. oil
2 c. flour
2 t. cinnamon
1 ½ t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2 c. broken pecans or walnuts
4 c. peeled and sliced apples
Caramel Sauce:
½ c. butter
½ c. su
Directions
Beat together eggs, sugar and oil in large bowl.
In another bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture.
Batter will be thick.
Stir in nuts and apples.
Spread batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Sauce:
Combine butter, flour, sugars and evaporated milk in saucepan.
Bring mixture to a boil for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
