Caramel Corn

Great Caramel corn – does NOT stick to your teeth!

Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup (light)

Combine the 3 ingredients in sauce pan and cook 5 minutes over stove. Remove from stove and add:

  • 1 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 pinch of cream of tartar

Directions

  1. In large bowl put 2-3 batches of popped popcorn.
  2. Pour mixture over popcorn and mix.
  3. Spread popcorn one several cookie sheets.
  4. Bake for an hour on low heat (250-300 degrees). 
  5. Every 15 minutes, stir popcorn. 

Serve when done or store in airtight container.

Hint: Can use Hull-less popcorn that you buy at the store.
