Breakfast Ham Casserole

This is great for when company comes and can be made the night before.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 6-8 slices ham – I use chipped ham
  • 1 bag shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 c. corn flakes (or any breakfast cereal)
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Butter a 9 x 13 glass pan/dish.
  2. Break up 6 slices of bread in dish.
  3. Top with the ham and cheese.
  4. Top with last half of broken up bread.
  5. Beat eggs and mix with the milk. Pour over bread, ham and cheese.
  6. Add melted butter and corn flakes and sprinkle on top of casserole.
  7. Can refrigerate several hours or overnight.
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  9. Serve warm with fruit/coffee cake, etc.

I made many of these for the youth group at church. It was also great when the Fuhrwerk-6 came to visit!
